EVENING PANEL - On Tuesday
evening, May 20, 2008, from 8:00 to 10:00 pm, a stimulating and
controversial Evening Panel on "AMLCD World Domination:
Does Anything Stand in the Way?" will take place at
the Wilshire Grand Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Arguments
against AMLCD world domination include the need for better energy
efficiency than is achieved in today's power-hungry AMLCDs; the
need to reduce cost by eliminating the multi-billion-dollar AMLCD
fabs; and the need to reduce image blur and latency even more than
has been possible with AMLCDs. Our panel experts on AMLCDs, PDPs,
OLEDs, projection, and plastic reflective displays will discuss
the prospects for the survival of their respective technologies.
